Arno Gazo spent years building and leading a multi-million-euro company as CEO — successful on paper, but increasingly disconnected from what mattered. A solo, 72-hour crossing of the Liwa desert, done in full autonomy, changed that.
 
He left his CEO role to found Away Expedition, and has since guided leaders through immersive journeys in the deserts of Abu Dhabi and the Swiss Alps. He is a Wilderness First Responder (WFR), a Leave No Trace Level 1 Instructor, an annual Vipassana practitioner, and holds a Master’s degree in Sport Management.
